Southern Sophisticate at Pursell Farms
I absolutely love the opportunity to design a styled shoot with a full team of creatives. It is our opportunity to create something inspirational, rather than practical. For this shoot for Alabama Weddings at Pursell Farms in 2018, I wanted to present an elevated sense of Southern refinement that would pair well with the stateliness of the venue. As I do with all my clients, I had my hand on every element, from selecting a simple, classic gown at Carriage House to creating a beautifully layered table design with my fab friend and interior designer Matthew Bees and down to the custom coup drink tags that harken back to the invitations by Paperhaus.
Every event, wedding, or soiree I host at home is about telling a story from start to finish. I'm a wedding planner by trade, but a storyteller at heart. As my next chapter unfolds with me now in the Editor-in-Chief role at Alabama Weddings, I'm especially looking forward to telling more stories and creating more inspiration with Alabama's top wedding photographers, venues, designers, and everything in between.
